You can find electronically accessible journals by subject:
eBooks and Print Materials
The library has over 1,000 print and electronically accessible books available from the Madonna University Catalog. You can narrow down the search results by adding additional keywords to the search term box at the top of the page. You can also narrow down the results using the links on the left side of the page. These results now include U.S. Government Resources.
- American Chemical Society
- ACS Webinars
The American Chemical Society publishes a free archive of webinars that you can access using the "Past Seminars" drop-down menu on the right side of the webpage. Pick a month and view the recorded webinar! This is also an excellent place to find upcoming webinars on various topics.

- NIST Chemical Webbook
The NIST Chemistry WebBook contains thermochemical data for over 7000 organic and small inorganic compounds, reaction thermochemistry data for over 8000 reactions, IR spectra for over 16,000 compounds, mass spectra for over 15,000 compounds, UV/Vis spectra for over 1600 compounds, electronic and vibrational spectra for over 4500 compounds, constants of diatomic molecules (spectroscopic data) for over 600 compounds, ion energetics data for over 16,000 compounds and thermophysical property data for 34 fluids. There are numerous ways to search for data on specific compounds including name, chemical formula, CAS registry number, molecular weight, chemical structure, or selected ion energetics and spectral properties. The NIST Chemistry WebBook is a comprehensive source for chemical and physical property data for chemical compounds.
PubChem contains the chemical structures of small organic molecules and information on their biological activities. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and bioactivity data in three primary databases, PCSubstance, PCCompound, and PCBioAssay, respectively. PubChem is integrated with Entrez, NCBI's primary search engine, and also provides compound neighboring, sub/superstructure, similarity structure, bioactivity data, and other searching features .
- Khan Academy - Chemistry Videos
Free access to videos from the Khan Academy about lots of different chemistry topics. This is an excellent resources for students who are having trouble with a specific chemistry topic as it offers a different explanation than what one can sometimes find in a textbook or in class.
- Wolfram Alpha - Examples by subject - Chemistry
This is a "computational knowledge engine". Unlike Internet search engines, Wolfram Alpha calculates, summarizes, and renders information based on queries. This page gives examples of the types of information you can get in the Chemistry subject domain.
