On this page, you will find general mathematics subject coverage from various resources available at the library. Included here is also information about Mathematics contests.
Mathematical Modeling Contest
The Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) is an international contest for high school students and college undergraduates. The MCM is designed to stimulate and improve problem-solving and writing skills in mathematics. Students participate as team members rather than as individuals, creating an environment for sharing knowledge and skills. To support the research of these project teams, the library recommends the following Databases, Journals, and Books:

An extensive collection of mathematics resources free to use. - IMA Mathematics Matters
Contemporary mathematics research affects the daily lives of a very large number of people worldwide, yet most remain in almost total ignorance of this fact. More worrying, however, is that this ignorance also extends to that section of society which would otherwise consider itself well educated. - Museum of Mathematics
MoMath has innovative exhibits that will engage folks from 105 to 5 years old (and sometimes younger), but with a special emphasis on activities for 4th through 8th graders. - Millennium Mathematics Project
The Millennium Mathematics Project (MMP) is a maths education and outreach initiative for ages 3 to 19 and the general public. The MMP is a collaboration between the Faculties of Mathematics and Education at the University of Cambridge, and is active nationally and internationally. Our focus is on increasing mathematical understanding, confidence and enjoyment, enriching everyone's experience of mathematics, and promoting creative and imaginative approaches to maths. - American Mathematical Society
