Deep fakes: Deep fakes are a type of artificial intelligence used to create convincing images, audio and video to trick people into believing someone said or did something that they did not. They are not real.
Generative AI: Generative AI is artificial intelligence that can create new content (videos, images, words, music, speech ) based on a user's prompts. Chat GPT is an example of Generative AI.
Large Language Models : Type of artificial intelligence that have been trained through complex algorithms to recognize, translate, and generate vast quantities of human like text. LLM's are advanced models that are a subset of Natural Language Processing, and are fundamental to tasks like text generation. LLM's analyze large amounts of data from the Internet to predict the next word in a sequence.
Natural Language Processing : A subfield of artificial intelligence, that focuses on the interaction between computers and humans through natural language. NLP is a broader field than large language models, that uses several techniques to produce and understand human language in useful and significant ways. Applications include chatbots and speech recognition.
Machine Learning : A branch of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science that focuses on the using data and algorithms to enable AI to imitate the way that humans learn.
AI hallucination: A phenomenon wherein a large language model perceives patterns or objects that are nonexistent or imperceptible to human observers, creating outputs that are inaccurate.
