  • Josh Olsen - Director of Library Services

    • Josh Olsen has proudly served as Madonna University's Director of Library Services since March 2023. Josh received his MLIS from Wayne State University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University-Mankato, and a BA in English from Viterbo University. Josh has been a full-time academic librarian since October 2017, and before that, he taught an array of writing and literature courses at several Michigan universities.   
  • LaCharmine Jefferson - Reference/Instructional Librarian

    • LaCharmine Jefferson is the Reference & Instruction Librarian at Madonna University. LaCharmine received her MLIS degree from Wayne State University in December 2022 and an MBA from Davenport University in 2001. Before coming to Madonna, LaCharmine worked as an Adult Services Librarian at Royal Oak Public Library and as an Adjunct Librarian at Oakland Community College. In her spare time, LaCharmine enjoys fun activities like table tennis, bowling, bike riding, and hula hooping. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc Detroit Alumnae Chapter, in which she serves as the Heritage and Archive Committee chair and is an active member of the Arts & Letters Committee. An interesting fact about LaCharmine is that she is the author of three published novels and a contributing author to three anthologies.

  • Daniella Owens - Head of Circulation

    • Daniella started her journey here at the Madonna University Library in 2022 bringing with her 15+ years of library experience coupled with 20+ of business acumen focused on project management and process improvement. As Head of Circulation, her responsibilities include support of the Library Student Assistant team, Interlibrary Loan (ILL) fulfilment and tracking, and overseeing all circulation activity, including the issuing, return, and record keeping procedures of the library. In her spare time, when she is not serving the MU Community, she enjoys puzzling, gardening, fitness and traveling. Say hi on your next visit!
